Every student who is found responsible in the university conduct process is assigned a disciplinary standing and educational sanctions appropriate to their incident. Sanctions are fashioned in such a manner that will redirect the individual's inappropriate behavior, encourage responsible judgment and ethical reasoning, protect the community's property and rights, as well as affirm the integrity of the institution's conduct standards.
There are two primary types of sanctions:
- Disciplinary Standings
- Educational Sanctions
All students found responsible will be assigned a disciplinary standing. The hearing officer is authorized to impose any one or a combination of educational sanctions appropriate to address the misconduct. All students found responsible will also be levied a Conduct Assessment. The amount of these assessments will be dependent on Disciplinary Standard assigned to the student.
