The Student Program for Alcohol Resources and Knowledge (SPARK) is based upon the Brief Alcohol Screening and Intervention for College Students (BASICS) model. The aim of this program is to educate students on ways to reduce harmful consumption and associated problems among students who drink alcohol. The program consists of a group session where students will be provided education regarding the negative consequences that one can encounter from excessive drinking and be provided the opportunity to examine their drinking and identify potential changes for the future. The student is provided with feedback and will set goals designed to reduce future risks associated with alcohol use. Students will be provided 60 days to complete.
